Investigations and Studies include:
Contamination modelling Working within the business a large refinery business Cristal Pigments in South Western Australia several saline contamination events had occurred from a neighbouring business. The area was near a Class 1 Wetland and the underlying geology had not been studied in great detail. A computer-based model of the area was developed to examine possible contamination flows in conjunction with AQ2. Conceptual modelling With the closure of a residue facility run by Cristal Pigments the development of a new facility was required. Initial research work was undertaken and a conceptual model constructed through drilling and geophysical surveys. GIS mapping catchment assessment With increased number of dams throughout catchments in the south west area of Western Australia the river flows are decreasing. Regulatory bodies now require assessment of the effect of water flows on dams and this assessment requires research using GIS techniques. Informal assessments have been completed on catchments in conjunction with Slade Tech. |
